When it comes to scar, wound, and skin care, Oleeva products are second to none. At Bio Med Sciences, our aim is to provide consumers with cutting edge products that help the lives of many people across the world. With an array of devices under our belt, we wanted to take some time to highlight a specific one: the Silon Gel Cleanser, as well as the care and use that goes along with it.
As a reusable, durable, slight, flexible and self adhesive silicone gel sheet, Oleeva is used in order to help prevent or in some cases reduce the impacts of keloids (thick raised scars) and hypertrophic scars. This is achieved by the technology behind Silon, which is crafted from a patented proprietary formula. This formula consists of a combination of bio-compatible polytetrafluoroethylene (teflon) as well as bioinert/bio-compatible medical grade silicone that are mixed into the composite structure.
As already noted before, Oleeva products are meant to help prevent or reduce hypertrophic and keloid scars. These stem from a variety of causes ranging from surgery procedures (general & plastic), traumatic injuries, burns, and minor cuts.
Application
Step 1
Remove your Oleeva product from its package
Step 2
Be sure to completely cover the incision with the product. To do this, we recommend that you avoid altering the product’s size by cutting or trimming. Only do so if absolutely necessary. With whatever gel sheet is remaining, it should be stored in a dry place.
Step 3
Notice the backing of the product. You will want to remove that and then apply to the affected area. Be careful not to stretch the product as you apply it. To do so, remove a small portion of the backing and apply that to the scar. Once that portion is on, remove the remaining back slowly as you place it on the area.
Step 4
Make sure that you wear the Oleeva product for 12 hours the initial day before increasing to roughly 23 hours a day.
Step 5
Clean both sides of the Oleeva product at a minimum of once a day. Use plain soap and warm water for this endeavor. For best results of removing debris, use our Bio Med Sciences Silicone Cleanser.
Step 6
To dry the product, place it on a clean flat surface. We recommend having a second Oleeva sheet present to wear while the other dries.
We also want to provide some recommendations and precautions with this product. Anyone sensitive to silicone should avoid Oleeva. Make sure to keep up with good daily hygiene and clean the product to avoid any topical issues like a rash. Until you feel comfortable with the product, use it as long as you feel to build up a tolerance. Avoid creams, lotions and ointments when using Oleeva.
